How it is made
The white fabric - finest silks, silk velvet, Irish linen - is dyed in several dye baths to get the right color, using the finest European silk dyes.
I then print the motif with wood blocks that I cut out according to my design and drawings. The velvet is printed with metal powders - gold, silver, copper, bronze. The silk and linen is printed with textile inks. I enjoy mixing old world techniques with ongoing self taught explorations.
Each piece is one of a kind, handmade by myself each step of the creative process and signed with a seal.
All my materials are eco friendly.
Me
I draw my inspiration from nature, mythology and the various cultures where I have lived and worked: From traditional art and Zen studies in Japan, onto France and Italy with it´s renaissance culture, and now Colorado, with it´s powerful wilderness and spiritual silence.
My work is included in private, corporate and museum collections in Europe and USA.
